Siding progress!

Our new Hardie (Cement Board) siding is moving along - a couple shots......

Of course, it will be painted - this yellow-ish color is just the base color that we'll paint over.  When done, it will be this color - called Knight's Armor:

And this is the LAST we'll see of this 1975 Garage door that is falling apart, as it gets replaced tomorrow (Thursday)  YAY!  Stay tuned!!!

BACK from Vacation to some progress.....!

First, we;ve got the prep for the new siding going on the outside - not exciting, yet, but already better looking that that old ugly brown stuff!

Garage cabinets now fully in place:

Kitchen Cabinets & island now fully in place, too:

& shelves in the kitchen pantry:

(ALL Shelving has yet to be painted, too.....)

& office shelving & my built in desk......

UGLY Stair rails be GONE!  In prep for the new ones.....

Master Closet expansion is complete

& Pocket doors installed!

Still LOTS & LOTS to go - more than I wish, with our move in date continuing to get pushed back :(

And, while this is all going on at the new place, Ahi & MaiTai sleep through it all at the rental house :)

Then, there's THIS!!!!

The Master Bedroom Closet extension going in today!

They'll get this all closed in tomorrow, then insulation & drywall & MORE PAINT after we get back from our annual trip to Lake George, NY for Ohana Luau at the Lake.

New siding, paint & garage door (FINALLY!!!) next week, too - YAY!

New Stair Rails on the way.....SOON!

The OLD ugly rustic wood stair rails will soon be a thing of the past - Yippee!!!

Paint & Cabinets, oh my!

Another weekend of LONG days, but I happy to say that the painting that we are doing in the house is DONE - YAY!!!!!

And - the first load of cabinets arrived Friday, with the remainder coming on Monday.  Double YAY!!!!

 First-up, we finished striping the laundry room.....

And, the Master Bedroom is now looking bright & cheery

& Master Bath Cabinets have arrived.....

The only picture I got of the under-stairs backstock liquor closet is blurry.....I guess that's appropriate ;)

& the Kitchen Cabinets have mostly arrived, too!

& Caroline's office with the shelves to be installed taped-off

Busy, Busy with more painting....Ready for Cabinets!

Our Cabinets are being installed Thursday & Friday, so painting priorities are now focused on the rooms that will have cabinets.  Tonight we got most of those rooms done, but it was too dark when we finished, and no lights in the house, so pictures TOMORROW.

That is.....except for one.  The last picture is not all that well lit, but couldn't wait to share :)

A bit of a change to the Laundry Room........

We still have to do a little touch-up & stripe the rest of the room, but the 1/2 where cabinets & counters are going is DONE!

We Have PAINT!!!!

After MANY hours Friday evening, Saturday & Sunday, we're EXHAUSTIFIED!!!
Mom, Rob & Myself taped, cut in, rolled & touched-up like crazy!

And the house it starting to look a bit more like us now :)
