Drywall is done - onto Paint!

Drywall was finished last week & ready to paint!
The crew needs to prime & paint all ceilings first.  Then, they will repair & paint all trim.  Then, finally, Rob & I will get in to paint after MANY delays to this part (caused by both the city inspectors & the contractor.  Ugh.)

No exciting pictures today, but here are a couple....the living room ready for paint....

& the guest room wall repaired where the pocket door went in.

City Approval for the Bar Addition....CHECK!!!

It's been a long road on this one because it is an addition to the house (which is why it was split off from the remodel permit), but Friday we were FINALLY officially approved to build the Bar addition in the backyard - YIPPEE!!!!!

DRYWALL is UP!!

& I'm on the road Monday-Friday this week for work, so probably no more updates until next weekend.....unless I can get Rob to send me pictures while I'm gone :)

Curtains!

Today's project (so that I could pack away my sewing stuff for the move) was to make the curtains for the Guest Bathroom.

Vintage fabric from Europe I found on Etsy & here is the progress - and the result.....

Next-up.....DRYWALL!

(never thought I'd be excited about drywall, but because it means we;re getting closer, yes - DRYWALL!!

Fun Columns & LOTS of Doors!

We're still waiting for 2 final pre-drywall inspections tomorrow AM.  In the meantime, 2 sorta big things went in today.

First-up, replacement of the structural columns between the old Dining Room & Living Room (will all be 1 living space, now).

The stair railings will also match these when those get done after the flooring goes in :)


And - our 5 Sliding Glass doors are now in place - replacing 3 previous sliders & 2 windows

Still looks very much like a construction zone, of course!
Drywall starts going up later this week - the other side of our 2 inspections - can't wait!!

Inspections, Inspections & More Inspections

It's inspection week!
And, assuming all goes well (fingers crossed!!!!), sheetrock will start to go up soon, followed by paint & all sorts of good stuff!

So the place looks pretty much the same.....like a bomb went off :D

In the meantime, our 5 sets of sliding glass doors are said to be arriving tomorrow (MUCH more fashionable than plywood!

So stylishly ghetto, huh???


& The 2 shower pans got poured & are holding water just fine & dandy
